Coastguard Conference, Our People | Our Coastguard, 17-19 September - Bayview Wairakei Resort, Taupo
FOREWORD FROM THE HELM

CEO Bruce Reid
It's hard to believe that we are well on the way with planning the next Coastguard Conference. It's a great time to look back at the past 12 months what we have learned, and how we can apply this to the next 12 months.

As you can see above, the theme for conference this year is “Our People – Our Coastguard”. Coastguard is nothing without its people. The dedication of our volunteers never ceases to amaze me. The focus for conference is on our people and the way forward within Coastguard.

We’ve put together some interesting main sessions and workshop sessions for you to chose from and of course the Awards Gala Dinner on Saturday night will be another great night as we honour our people.

I look forward to catching up with as many of you as possible in Taupo this year.

Bruce Reid

PARTNERS' PROGRAMME

The partners who have been on the previous Partners Programme are still talking about them! So come along and make some new friends and have a great day out.

Depart from the hotel where you will be whisked away to L’arte Café. Voted by Lonely Planet as the number one café pick for the central North Island and one of the top 10 places to visit in New Zealand L’arte Café Gallery is not to be missed when visiting Taupo – we’ll take you there.

A trip to L’Arte is a visual and edible feast and unlike anything you have experienced before. The café and gallery are both set in a magical garden complete with an outside mosaic living room .

Then it’s off to the Lake where you are in for a treat with sightseeing, a spot of fishing if you like and clay shooting as well.

The time on the Lake also includes your lunch. We then head back to dry land and into town for a spot of free time and “retail therapy” or other pleasant pastimes until the bus takes you back to the Hotel in time to get your glad rags on for the amazing Gala Awards Dinner. Come dressed warm and ready to have a fun-filled day in Taupo.

Cost - $140 including GST per person (but not including the retail therapy which is between you and your credit card – and we promise we wont tell!)
